Report: UFC Signs Umar Nurmagomedov
Another member of the Nurmagomedov clan is making his way to the UFC as the promotion has reportedly signed Umar Nurmagomedov to a deal.
It was UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov who revealed the signing via Instagram:
Here is what Khabib wrote, provided by Google Translate:
Me, horse and fighter @ufc
Brother @umar_nurmagomedov you have a lot to prove when I signed up for #ufc there were a lot of people who did not believe in me, but my team and my close friends supported and believed in me.
Hope in the Most High and labor will bear fruit.
You have everything for the result, and now act and prove that your place is among the best athletes in the world. @umar_nurmagomedov
Nurmagomedov (12-0-0) enters the UFC with an undefeated mark as a professional MMA fighter and that streak has lasted over three years. Nurmagomedov competed twice in the PFL, picking up victories over the duo of Saidyokub Kakhramonov and Sidemar Honorio. Nurmagomedov has competed a total of twelve times as a professional MMA fighter and half of those bouts went the distance.
There is no word at this time as to when Nurmagomedov will make his UFC debut or whom that will come against.
