Baby Slice Disagrees With Bellator 232 Win Being Overturned
A ruling was made earlier this week by the Mohegan Department of Athletic Regulation to overturn the result of the bout to a no contest due to illegal strikes landed by Slice to Campbell, but it is a decision that Slice doesn’t agree with.
“I thought the fight was fair, and everything went the right way,” Slice said to MMA Junkie. “I didn’t see anything wrong with it. … It was out of my control, so it’s in God’s hands now. I don’t really want to think about it. I don’t even care.”
Campbell and Slice both now have the first no contests of their professional MMA careers after the ruling made by the athletic commission.
Slice even spoke with a commission member and was told that the bout result shouldn’t be overturned to a no contest.
“I still went out there and did my thing,” Slice said. “I did what I was supposed to do. That was their decision. It was out of my control. I did my job. Even (Mazzulli) said he thought everything was legal, except one of them. He said if they just land one that’s not, they could overturn it.”
The fighter has now gone over a year without a victory, with Slice’s last win coming over Devon Brock at Bellator 197.
