Report: Andre Muniz Replaces Alessio Di Chrico At UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo

Alessio Di Chrico has been pulled from the upcoming UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo card, replacing him against Antonio Arroyo is Andre Muniz. 

Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA reported the news, although it is unknown as to why Di Chirico has been pulled from the card.

Arroyo (9-2-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a five fight winning streak. Arroyo competed twice on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating the two pack of Adriano Miranda Da Silva and Diego Henrique Da Silva. Arroyo has suffered two losses as a professional MMA fighter and both of them came by way of submission.

Muniz (18-4-0) is also going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on a four fight winning streak. Muniz has competed twice before on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating the duo of Bruno Assis and Taylor Johnson. Muniz has competed twenty two times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those encounters went the distance. 

UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo takes place on Saturday, November 16 from the Ibirapueroa Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil with Jan Blachowicz and Ronaldo Souza headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
