Report: Thiago Alves Faces Tim Means At UFC Fight Night Washington DC
A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Washington DC according to Diario Do Nordeste as Thiago Alves is in action against Tim Means.
Alves (23-14-0) has won just one of his last four under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Max Griffin at UFC Fight Night Fortaleza. Alves has seen his last three fights go the distance and it has been nearly five years since the fighter got a finish. Alves has suffered fourteen losses as a professional MMA fighter and half of them came by way of decision.
Means (28-11-1-1NC) has also won just one of his last four in the UFC, with his victory coming over Ricky Rainey at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale. Means hasn’t picked up a victory on a Fight Night card in over two years, with his last such win coming at UFC Fight Night Oklahoma City in June of 2017. Means has picked up twenty eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and nine of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night Washington DC takes place on Saturday, December 7 from the Capitol One Arena in Washington DC with Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
