Ben Saunders Says He Is Back In The UFC

Ben Saunders is about to begin his third run in the UFC, at least that is what the fighter said on a recent Twitter post.

Saunders, who was actually not released from his last contract, it just expired because the fighter was going through personal issues at the time.

“…through a really hard time with practically every aspect of my life” said Saunders.

Saunders believes he got a contract offer from the UFC after he submitted fellow UFC veteran Jacob Volkmann in just seventeen seconds at a Fight Night At The Island event.

Saunders first run in the UFC lasted from 2007 to 2010, where he earned notable wins over Ryan Thomas and Marcus Davis. Saunders second run in the UFC lasted from 2014 to 2016, where he earned notable wins over Joe Riggs and Kenny Robertson.

Although the UFC has not yet publicly announced resigning the longtime MMA veteran, it is apparent by the Twitter posting above that Saunders is indeed returning to the world’s largest MMA organization. A return date and opponent have not been announced by either Saunders or the UFC, but an announcement is expected any time now.
