Michel Pereira, Does Moonsaults, Back Elbows, Loses In UFC Fight
Michael Pereira will live in on UFC history with one of the most bizarre performances in a losing effort the company has ever seen.
At UFC Fight Night Vancouver, Pereira looked to prove he was the flashiest fighter in the UFC and did just about everything in his fight against Tristan Connelly. Pereira went for a Superman Punch, tried a moonsault, a handspring back elbow and even a rolling Koppu kick.

Yet, even after doing everything to impress the crowd, he wasn’t able to impress the judges as he lost a unanimous decision to Connelly 29-28, 29-27, 29-27. The loss spoiled Pereira’s second fight in the UFC after signing with the company earlier this year. Connelly actually came in as a late replacement opponent as Pereira was originally scheduled to face Sergey Khandozhko, but Khandozhko reportedly had visa issues and couldn’t compete on the card.
Pereira came into the fight with a lot of hype as he famously did a lionsault in a fight at a Road FC show back in February.
