Jorge Masvidal vs. Nate Diaz Headlines UFC 244 For “Bad Mother F—er” Belt
The main event is reportedly set for UFC 244 according to Brett Okamoto of ESPN (citing UFC President Dana White) as #3 Jorge Masvidal is going to be in action against #6 Nate Diaz.
According to Malki Kawa and several others, a championship “BMF” belt is being crafted for the two fighters to compete for.
Masvidal (34-13-0) enters the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Darren Till and Ben Askren. Masvidal holds the record for the fastest knockout in UFC history, defeating the aforementioned Askren in just five seconds at UFC 239. Masvidal has picked up thirty four wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them came by way of decision.
Diaz (20-11-0) has won three of his last four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Anthony Pettis, Conor McGregor and Michael Johnson. Diaz was the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 5, defeating Manny Gamburyan in the finals of the reality show. Diaz has suffered eleven losses as a professional MMA fighter and nine of them came by way of decision.
