Report: Abubakar Nurmagomedov Faces David Zawada At UFC Fight Night Moscow
A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Moscow according to Brett Okamoto of ESPN as Abubakar Nurmagomedov is in action against David Zawada.
Nurmagomedov (15-2-1) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so having won one of the fighter’s last three fights. Nurmagomedov competed three times in the Professional Fighters League, defeating Jonatin Westin at PFL 6. Nurmagomedov has competed eighteen times as a professional MMA fighter and six of those encounters went the distance.
Zawada (16-5-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, having dropped bouts to the duo of Danny Roberts and Li Jingliang. Zawada hasn’t picked up a victory in over a year, with that last win coming over Michal Michalski at KSW MMA 43. Zawada has picked up sixteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of those victories came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night Moscow takes place on Saturday, November 9 from the CSKA Arena in Moscow, Russia with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
