Dana White Reacts To Conor McGregor/Ariel Helwani Interview

Former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor recently participated in an hour long interview with Ariel Helwani of ESPN.

UFC President Dana White has seen the interview and he believes that it was something that McGregor needed to do.

“Conor and I talk at least a couple times a month, and I think he needed to do that,” White told MMA Junkie. “I didn’t tell him to do it. He did that on his own, and good for him.”

McGregor covered a lot of topics during that interview, from recent legal troubles to returning to the UFC and growing as a person during the controversies.

White has also gotten wind of a sexual assault allegation levied against McGregor, which McGregor talked about during the interview, and White feels that the UFC star isn’t guilty of the crime.

“I know zero about that,” White said. “To be honest with you, the back-and-forth that I’ve had with him about that (is) that it’s not him, that it’s somebody else. You know? So I don’t know.”

There is no word at this time as to when McGregor may return to action, as he hasn’t competed since a fourth round submission loss to UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229.
