Jorge Masvidal Promises To Take Conor McGregor’s Soul

Jorge Masvidal hasn’t competed since a historical five second knockout win over Ben Askren at UFC 239

Former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor is a target of Masvidal’s and Masvidal promises to take McGregor’s soul if they do battle in the Octagon.

“Of course, with Conor it would be the biggest fight, but he needs to stop with the ‘I might fight, I might not.’ I don’t like that (expletive). You’re not gonna fight me; you’re not gonna fight,” Masvidal said to Submission Radio (via Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie). “You got a lot of money already with the whiskey, I heard. Drink your whiskey, man. Keep your money, man. You don’t want this, man, ’cause I’ll take your (expletive) soul, man. I’ll be as nice as I can about it; I’m coming for your soul. Not just Conor’s, whoever they put in front of me. And Dana White said I’m bigger for a reason, because he wants that little shield, like, ‘Hey, I told you guys Masvidal was too big’ when I go in there and (makes cutthroat gesture).”

McGregor hasn’t competed since a fourth round submission loss to UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 and no fight is booked for him at the moment.

Masvidal also saw the video of McGregor allegedly punching a bar patron, but wants more information before passing any judgment.

“I thought it was maybe Photoshopped, ’cause the dude looked old as (expletive), right?,” Masvidal said. “I don’t want to comment too much on it. I don’t know what happened, but it didn’t look right, man. That dude’s maybe like 60 years old, and he punched him in the head, and he wasn’t looking at you. I don’t know how it sits with me, man. I want to know like more about it, ’cause all I saw is a clip of the video, and it just didn’t make no sense. I don’t know, maybe this guy disrespected Conor and spit on him or some shit that I didn’t see on the camera. But the 10-second clip that I saw just didn’t look right.”

A bout with McGregor may not be the only one on Masvidal’s mind, as he was also called out by Nate Diaz at UFC 241.
