Report: Brad Katona Faces Hunter Azure At UFC Fight Night Vancouver

A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Vancouver according to the Candian Press as Brad Katona is going to be in action against Hunter Azure. 

Katona (8-1-0) has won two of three thus far under the UFC banner, defeating the duo of Matthew Lopez and Jay Cucciniello. Katona was the featherweight winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 27, defeating the aforementioned Cucciniello in the finals of the reality show. Katona has competed nine times as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of those encounters went the distance. 

Azure (7-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted almost two years. Azure competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 3, defeating Chris Ocon by unanimous decision. Azure is going to be competing for the fourth time this year, making 2019 his most active year as a professional MMA fighter. 

UFC Fight Night Vancouver takes place on Saturday, September 14 from Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada with Donald Cerrone and Justin Gaethje headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
