Report: Polyana Viana Replaces Rachael Ostovich At UFC Fight Night Uruguay
Rachael Ostovich has been pulled from UFC Fight Night Uruguay for undisclosed reasons according to MMA Junkie, replacing her against Veronica Macedo is Polyana Viana.
Macedo (5-3-1) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, having dropped bouts to the trio of Ashlee Evans-Smith, Andrea Lee and Gillian Robertson. Macedo hasn’t won a bout in over three years, with that last win coming against Karine Gevorgyan at a Mixed Fight Events show. Macedo has competed nine times as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of those encounters went the distance.
Viana (10-3-0) has won just one of three bouts during her UFC tenure, with that lone win coming over Maia Stevenson at UFC Fight Night Belem. Viana has suffered a total of three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of those defeats came by way of decision. Viana is undefeated in the UFC when competing on Fight Night cards, but is winless in the promotion when competing on pay-per-view events.
UFC Fight Night Uruguay takes place on Saturday, August 10 from the Antel Arena in Montevideo, Uruguay with Valentina Shevchenko and Liz Carmouche headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
