The UFC Fight Night Sacramento main event ended in quick fashion as Germaine De Randamie scored a sixteen second knockout of Aspen Ladd. The ending wasn’t without controversy, as both fans in attendance and the commentary team seemed to believe the stoppage by referee Herb Dean may have come too early.

Here are highlights of the fight from the live coverage provided by Fightful:

Round One: The round begins with De Randamie peppering Ladd with some jabs, De Randamie drops Ladd with a straight right and the referee immediately jumps in.

Official Result: #1 Germaine De Randamie def. #4 Aspen Ladd by KO via punch (0:16, R1)

Ladd had suffered the first loss of her professional MMA career, with Ladd’s professional MMA record now sitting at 8-1-0. De Randamie will see her professional MMA record jump to 9-3-0 and the fighter has now won five straight bouts.

There is no word yet on what’s next for either fighter, as De Randamie has stated in a post-fight interview that she’ll do whatever the UFC wants to do next. De Randamie’s lone loss in the UFC came to two division UFC champion Amanda Nunes at UFC Fight For The Troops 3 in 2013.
