Jeff Novitzky Promoted To UFC Senior Vice President Of Athlete Health & Performance
Jeff Novitzky, who’s previous job title in the promotion was UFC Vice President Of Athlete Health & Performance, has now been promoted to UFC Senior Vice President Of Athlete Health & Performance.
UFC Chief Operating Officer Lawrence Epstein issued the following statement in a press release about Novitzky’s promotion:
“Under Jeff’s leadership, UFC has developed the most comprehensive anti-doping policy in professional sports. The program has proven to be a tremendous success, and Jeff has been a great resource for our athletes by helping them make informed decisions about what to put in their bodies. Jeff has been a big part of UFC’s commitment to ensuring that its athletes are competing in a clean sport.”
Novitzky has been seen as a public face of the promotion’s stringent drug testing, which was ramped up considerably when the UFC partnered with the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) a few years back. Novitzky, along with USADA and the UFC, announced that the amount of drug test conducted will rise in 2019.
The newly promoted Novitzky also had quite the career before joining up with the UFC, as he was one of the high profile investigator during the BALCO case and many other similar cases throughout the years.
