Report: Carlos Huachin Replaces Said Nurmagomedov At UFC 237

Said Nurmagomedov has been pulled from UFC 237 for undisclosed reasons according to El Comerico, replacing him against Raoni Barcelos is going to be Carlos Huachin.

Barcelos (13-1-0) is also undefeated in UFC competition, with his pair of wins coming over the duo of Kurt Holobaugh and Chris Gutierrez. Barcelos is a former RFA Featherweight Champion, defeating Ricky Musgrave by unanimous decision at RFA 29 to claim the gold. Barcelos has also suffered just one loss as a professional MMA fighter, with that defeat coming to Mark Dickman at RFA 14.

Huachin (10-3-1) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a two fight winning streak. Huachin has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of those defeats came by way of decision. Huachin hasn’t suffered a defeat in over three years and that last loss came against Ahmet Kayretli at Strike Off 6 in October of 2015.

UFC 237 takes place on Saturday, May 11 from the Arena Da Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil with Rose Namajunas and Jessica Andrade headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
