Ronda Rousey Confirms She Broke Her Knuckle At WrestleMania 35, Comments On Return
Ronda Rousey provides an update on what’s going on in the world of Ronda following WrestleMania.
“The Baddest Woman On The Planet” and former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey uploaded a new video to her YouTube channel which features her sitting side-by-side with her husband Travis Browne as she talks about what is currently going on in her life. Ronda was last seen on WWE programming when she dropped the RAW Women’s Title to Becky Lynch in the main event of WrestleMania 35. Ronda confirmed her hand injury and shared that she broke a knuckle at the “Show Of Shows”.
It was reported by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp that Rousey was backstage at the RAW after WrestleMania in Brooklyn and that she was set to undergo hand surgery and clips of that surgery were shown in the embedded video at the top of the article. Ronda shared that she has two pins in her hand and the cast will be off in four weeks. She added that she originally planned to stay with WWE until November of 2018 so that she and Travis could begin their family but when she realized that main-eventing WrestleMania 35 was a possibility, she made the decision to stay with the sports-entertainment company.
Ronda also addressed her future in WWE and stated that she will not make any promises regarding if she is coming back or not but she is looking forward to spending time with her husband and resting up.
“So, as for WWE — plans in the future, we want to have a baby first. I don’t know what it’s like to have a baby. I could look down at this beautiful child and be like, ‘F*ck everything. I don’t care about anything else but this baby and you’ll never see me again’, or, I could be like my mom who — she trained while she was eight months pregnant and then won the U.S. Open six weeks after giving birth, which was unbelievable. I don’t think I’m gonna try and aspire to her level but I’m just saying, you never know.” Rousey said. “The thing is I don’t wanna make any promises about the future when I don’t know how I’m gonna feel in the future so, yeah. Thank you everybody for your support. I’ve had the most amazing time this year. I’m also looking forward to a little bit of rest.”
The RAW and SmackDown women’s division is being championed by Becky Lynch and Becky will be in action on tonight’s WWE RAW against the returning Alicia Fox.
