Report: Kevin Lee Moving To Welterweight, Facing Rafael Dos Anjos In UFC Rochester Main Event

The main event has been set for UFC Fight Night Rochester according to the Democrat & Chronicle as #4 Rafael Dos Anjos faces #5 (LW) Kevin Lee in a welterweight division attraction.

Dos Anjos (28-11-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman. Dos Anjos is a former UFC Lightweight Champion, defeating Anthony Pettis to win the gold at UFC 185. Dos Anjos is going to be headlining his fourth straight UFC card, holding a record of 1-2-0 in the previous three headlining bouts.

Lee (17-4-0) is going to be making his UFC Welterweight Division debut in the bout, having previously competed at lightweight. Lee has previously challenged for the UFC Interim Lightweight Title, losing to then champion Tony Ferguson at UFC 216. Lee is going to be headlining his fifth straight UFC event, earning a record of 2-2-0 in those previous four affairs.

UFC Fight Night Rochester takes place on Saturday, May 18 from the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York with Rafael Dos Anjos and Kevin Lee headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
