Report: UFC Signs Norma Dumont
A new threat may be making their way to the UFC Women’s Featherweight Division, as Norma Dumont has signed a multi-fight deal with the promotion.
The newly signed fighter announced the deal via Instagram:
Here is what Dumont wrote, provided by Google Translate:
“We have reached the biggest #MMA event in the world.”
Dumont (4-0-0) has primarily competed in the Jungle Fight promotion before signing with the UFC, defeating the duo of Tainara Lisboa and Patricia Borges Fernandes. Dumont has picked up four wins as a professional MMA fighter, with two victories coming by decision and the others coming by way of decision. Dumont last competed at Shooto Brazil 86 in August of 2018, defeating Mariana Morais by majority decision.
There is no word yet as to when Dumont is going to be making her UFC debut, but the fighter enters a weight class currently ruled by Amanda Nunes.
