Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champions Miesha Tate and Ronda Rousey have been rivals since their days in Strikeforce.
Rousey has since left professional MMA behind and is the current Raw Women’s Champion, while Tate has retired and moved onto an executive role with One Championship.
Tate has viewed the interactions between Rousey and Becky Lynch on Twitter and in other mediums, but claims that Rousey isn’t joking around when it comes to the rivalry with the fellow WWE star.
“It got under her skin. I know about this,” Tate said on MMA Tonight (via Simon Samano of MMA Junkie). “You don’t talk about her family, you don’t talk about this, even if it’s just a joke. She does not have a sense of humor, and therefore (expletive) got real. … No, Ronda’s pissed. Ronda’s not joking. She’s not playing games. She’s not used to having to play by rules. She never had to before. Why is she going to now? She’s already broken the rule with the F-word, saying some things are ‘fake.’ She’s not a company woman. She never has been.”
The rivalry between Rousey and Lynch took a big twist this past week on WWE Raw when Rousey turned heel and violently attacked Lynch.
Lynch and Charlotte will compete this Sunday Night at WWE Fastlane, with Lynch’s opportunity to face Rousey and Charlotte at WWE Wrestlemania 35 in the balance. It is expected that any combination of the three women or all three at once, are expected to headline WWE Wrestlemania 35.
