Report: Ricardo Ramos Injured, Off UFC Fight Night Denver

Ricardo Ramos has suffered a hand injury and has been pulled from a bout against Ricky Simon at UFC Fight Night Denver according to MMA Fighting.

The fighter is expected to undergo surgery to repair the injured hand, a return date should be known for Ramos as the fighter heals up from the potential surgery. Simon is expected to remain on the card at this time, as the promotion has just under a month to find him a new opponent. The bout was scheduled to take place on the Fox Sports 1 portion of the preliminary card.

Simon (14-1-0) is also undefeated thus far in UFC competition, with his wins coming over the duo of Merab Dvalishvili and Montel Jackson. Simon also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 5, defeating Donovan Frelow by split decision. Simon is also a former Legacy Fighting Alliance Bantamweight Champion, defeating UFC veteran Chico Camus by decision to win the gold at LFA 29.

UFC Fight Night Denver takes place on Saturday, November 10 from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado with Frankie Edgar and Chan Sung Jung headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
