Report: Joey Mercury Arrested In Illinois Over The Weekend, Was Working As A Producer For ‘All In’

Some breaking news.

This past Saturday Cody and The Young Bucks brought their self-financed show ‘All In’ to life and it successfully aired and streamed live on WGN America, HonorClub and FITE TV. There were eleven total matches on the ‘All In’ card and two of those took place during ‘Zero Hour’ which was a one-hour kickoff show that was free to watch on WGN America. The two matches that aired on WGN America was the tag team bout between SCU (Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky) and The Briscoes and the other was the ‘Over The Budget’ Battle Royal that Flip Gordon emerged victorious from.

One of the producers for the ‘Over The Budget’ Battle Royal was former three-time WWE Tag Team Champion Joey Mercury. Unfortunately for Mercury, he was not able to enjoy the match from backstage at ‘All In’ as he was arrested Saturday morning according to PWInsider. The site notes that Mercury was arrested in Schaumburg, IL the morning of ‘All In’ and the Schaumburg Police Department confirmed that they came in contact with Mercury at 6:58 AM at the location that Starrcast was held.

It was tipped to the authorities that a man was sleeping in his car outside of a hotel and that man was Joey Mercury, real name Adam Birch. The authorities approached Birch while he was in his car and after running his information they discovered that Birch was wanted for an outstanding warrant in Orange County, FL. The Schaumburg P.D. confirmed to PWInsider that there are no pending charges against Joey Mercury but he is being held on $2,500 bail at the Cook County Department Of Corrections in Chicago. Mercury does have a court date of September 4th which he may need to be transferred back to Florida to attend.

Despite the absence of Joey Mercury the show rolled on and to hear Fightful’s podcast crew’s thoughts on the show, head over to the Fightful YouTube channel.
