Report: Nordine Taleb Faces Sean Strickland At UFC Fight Night Moncton
A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Moncton according to Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA as Nordine Taleb faces Sean Strickland.
Taleb (14-5-0) has won two of his last three under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Oliver Enkamp and Danny Roberts. Taleb competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 19, getting eliminated in the opening round of the reality show to Mike King. Taleb has picked up a total of fourteen wins as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet to earn a victory by way of submission.
Strickland (19-3-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last four UFC appearances, with the last bout being a loss to Elizeu Zaleski Dos Santos at UFC 224. Strickland is a former King Of The Cage Welterweight Champion, defeating Yusuke Sakashita to win the gold in July of 2013. Strickland has suffered a total of three defeats as a professional MMA fighter and all of those losses came under the UFC banner.
