Report: Paul Felder Replacing Yancy Medeiros At UFC 226
Paul Felder was left without an opponent after James Vick was moved to the main event position at UFC Fight Night Lincoln. Mike Perry was then left without an opponent after Yancy Medeiros was pulled from UFC 226 due to injury, according to MMA Junkie.
Fate has now brought the two competitors together as Felder is facing Perry at UFC 226, again according to MMA Junkie.
Felder (15-3-0) enters the contest while riding a three fight winning streak, last defeating Charles Oliveira by second round TKO at UFC 218. Felder has suffered a total of three defeats as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet to finished by way of submission. Felder has also seen six of his professional MMA bouts go the distance, but the fighters hasn’t gone to the judges scorecards in almost two years.
Perry (11-3-0) enters the contest while riding a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Max Griffin and Santiago Ponzinibbio. Perry has suffered a total of three losses as a professional MMA fighter, with all of those defeats coming by way of decision. Perry may have suffered all of his professional MMA defeats by decision, but the fighters has earned all eleven wins by KO/TKO.
