Report: Angel DeAnda Stepping In At DWTNCS Episode 11
Oscar Ivan Cota was pulled from Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 11 due to visa issues, leaving Greg Rebello without an opponents.
However, a report from MMA Fighting is stating that Angel DeAnda has agreed to step in and fight Rebello on short notice.
DeAnda (18-6-0) is currently winless under the DWTNCS banner, dropping a bout to Dan Spohn via first round submission at DWTNCS Episode 2. DeAnda also competed twice in the World Series Of Fighting, suffering losses to the duo of Tyrone Spong and Krasimir Mladenov. DeAnda also returns to action for the first time in almost a year, as his last bout took place on July of 2017.
Rebello (24-8-0) is currently winless on DWTNCS, having suffered a knockout loss to Azunna Anyanwu on DWTNCS Episode 1. Rebello does return to the Contender Series riding a two fight winning streak, which includes a win over UFC veteran Travis Wiuff. Rebello also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 11, losing in the opening round of the reality show to Josh Bryant.
Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 11 takes place on Tuesday, June 26 from the UFC Gym in Las Vegas, Nevada with Antonina Shevchenko and Jamielene Nievera headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
