King Mo Dropping To Middleweight
King Mo competed in the opening round of the Bellator World Heavyweight Grand Prix at Bellator 199, suffering a quick knockout loss to Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion Ryan Bader.
Despite success competing at both heavyweight and light heavyweight, a move has been made by Mo for the future of his pro MMA career — a drop to the middleweight division.
The middleweight division's newest addition made the announcement via Twitter:
This is MMA. Things don't always go the way you expected. Congratulations to @ryanbader for his big win tonight. He deserves it. Now, this being said, It's now time for me to move to the Middleweight division #KingMoneyweight pic.twitter.com/KY49qbXTub

When Mo does make the drop to middleweight, it would mark the first time he has competed in the weight class.
Mo found the majority of his success competing at light heavyweight, even capturing the Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Title by defeating Gegard Mousasi by decision at Strikeforce: Nashville in April of 2010. The middleweight division is currently ruled by Rafael Carvalho, who is scheduled to defend the gold later this month against the aforementioned Gegard Mousasi in the main event of Bellator 200.
