Seth Rollins Is “Team Roman” And Hopes He Beats Brock Lesnar At Greatest Royal Rumble
Seth Rollins says he would love to see Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar.
On Friday at the Greatest Royal Rumble event, Seth Rollins will be defending his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Samoa Joe, The Miz, and Finn Balor in a four-way match. There are several championship matches on the card including Rollins' fellow Shield member Roman Reigns contesting the WWE Universal Championship currently held by Brock Lesnar.
In an interview with Newsweek, Rollins said he hopes Reigns brings the championship back with him from Saudi Arabia where the event will be held.
"I would love to see Roman take down Brock Lesnar and bring the Universal Championship to RAW. It would be a huge coup for our television show, the live events, for everything. I’m team Roman 100 percent. I’m not worried about my position or the Intercontinental championship. I know what I bring to the table and what the Intercontinental title brings to the table. I think having Roman with the Universal title on RAW every week will only add to the show and the prestige we do every week," said Rollins.
Fightful Wrestling will have live coverage and a recapping podcast for the Greatest Royal Rumble event on Friday.
In the rest of the interview, Rollins discussed his championship victory at WrestleMania 34, facing Reigns in the future if they both hold championships, and how he felt being the first match on the WrestleMania card.
The full interview with Rollins is available on the Newsweek website.
