WWE ‘Superstar Shake-Up’: Night Two Roster Changes
What stars will be joining the blue-brand after an eventful night one of the 2018 WWE 'Superstar Shake-Up'?
* Jeff Hardy brings the WWE United States Championship back to SmackDown Live.
"The Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy became a multi-time Grand Slam champion in WWE last night on RAW as he defeated Jinder Mahal to become the new WWE United States Champion. Tonight, SmackDown Live got a rush of adrenaline as Jeff Hardy returned to SmackDown for the first-time since competing in a "Loser Leaves WWE" World Heavyweight Championship match against CM Punk in 2009.
Hardy's first appearance on the blue-brand in nine years kicked off by interrupting the former WWE United States Champion Randy Orton. Jeff breezed past Orton on his way to the ring to compete against and defeat a game Shelton Benjamin.
* 'Absolution' makes the jump to the blue brand.
After attempting to take over the reigns of RAW's women's division, Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville have made the jump to SmackDown Live. The night after WrestleMania 34 on RAW former 'Absolution' leader Paige announced her retirement from in-ring competition and the following night on SmackDown she was revealed as the new GM of the blue-brand.
The band is back together as Rose & Deville have been reunited with Paige and this time around Paige has a bit of power and control over what goes down on the blue-brand.
* "The Destroyer" has come to cause havoc.
One night after tearing down "The Big Dog" Roman Reigns verbally, Samoa Joe has brought his verbal and physical pain to Tuesday night's. Joe walked into the 'Dunkin' Donuts Center' in Providence, RI to thunderous "Joe" chants. Unfortunately, the man who was in the ring that was not so happy to see the former NXT Champion was Sin Cara who would end up becoming Joe's first victim on SmackDown.
Joe made quick work of Sin Cara and then proceeded to lay down the law on the microphone. "The Destroyer" stated that all of the top stars on the blue-brand such as AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton will soon bow down to him, and Joe also addressed the unfinished business that he has with Roman Reigns. Samoa Joe put the WWE Universe on notice that at the 'Greatest Royal Rumble' event on April 27th he will leave Saudi Arabia the new WWE Intercontinental Champion, and if Roman Reigns can best Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Title on that same night, Roman's next opponent is a mere week away at 'Backlash' as he will have to put the Universal Title on the line against Samoa Joe.
* Big Cass makes his return following his devastating injury.
The night after the 2017 'SummerSlam' PPV Big Cass suffered a torn ACL in a match on Monday Night RAW. The 7 foot tall big man would be out commission for a number of months rehabbing and awaiting the green light to return to in-ring competition.
Tonight, as a part of the 2018 WWE 'Superstar Shake-Up' Big Cass made his return in a backstage segment; interrupting and belittling the newly-returned full-time in-ring competitor Daniel Bryan.
* Chaos is coming!
As announced via social media, the former NXT Tag Team Champions; Eric Young, Killian Dane & Alexander Wolfe are on the way to cause havoc on the blue-brand. SAnitY will not be taking any prisoners.
* "The Empress Of Tomorrow" is officially on Tuesday night's.
A week removed from having her two-year undefeated streak broken at WrestleMania 34, the longest reigning NXT Women's Champion of all-time Asuka made her first appearance on WWE programming since WrestleMania. Asuka came to the aid of Becky Lynch and the woman who broke her undefeated streak, Charlotte Flair, as they were being ambushed by 'The IIconics' and the newly-crowned SmackDown Live Women's Champion Carmella.
* The "Good Brothers" are headed to SmackDown.
The "Good Brothers", former three-time IWGP Tag Team Champions and former RAW Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have been announced as the next competitors to make the jump to the blue-brand. Gallows and Anderson had trouble finding their footing on Monday night's but the duo is looking to make SmackDown Live "too sweet".
* "The Bar" is raising their level from red to blue.
The former four-time RAW Tag Team Champions Sheamus & Cesaro are making their way to Tuesday night's.
"The Bar" are looking to reign supreme over SmackDown Live's tag team division much like how they did on RAW. But before doing so on the blue-brand the two men have a RAW Tag Team Championship match scheduled for the 'Greatest Royal Rumble' event on April 27th in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia against the make-shift and "Woken" tandem of Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt.
* El Idolo!!!!!!!
SmackDown Live just gained a big-time competitor for the singles division in tonight's 'Superstar Shake-Up'. "El Idolo" himself, although coming off of a disappointing loss at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans where he lost his grip of the NXT Championship, Andrade "Cien" Almas along with his business manager Zelina Vega are looking to climb the ranks of the SmackDown Live food chain.
* What's Up?
Former WWE United States Champion R-Truth has made his way onto the SmackDown Live roster, sort of. While speaking with The New Day & Tye Dillinger backstage, Truth was not so sure whether he was on Monday Night RAW or NXT on Wednesday nights.
R-Truth was last seen at WrestleMania 34 as he partook in the 'Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal'. "R-Trizzle" was unsuccessful in that bout, but looks to make his run on SmackDown Live a successful one.
