Daniel Cormier Wants 3rd Bout With Jon Jones, Who Tells DC To “Come Get Me”
UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier looks to become a two division champion when he faces UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic in the main event of UFC 226.
DC has fought twice before against former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones, but the current light heavyweight champion wouldn’t mind one more shot against him.
“I want to fight Jon Jones. I do. I still feel I can win,” Cormier said at a recent media scrum. “I know that I’ve lost twice, and the last fight, I got kicked in the head. But I feel like we were having a good fight. And I feel like every fight’s been good. And I feel like if we fought a third time it would be even better.”
Jones won one of the two previous encounters against Cormier, with the victory coming at UFC 182 and a no contest coming at UFC 214. Jones had initially picked up a win over DC at UFC 214, but the bout would be overturned to a no contest after Jones failed a drug test.
The former champion seems interested in another bout with Cormier after posting the following on Twitter:

Cormier will first have to focus on his upcoming title bout with Miocic, while Jones is still awaiting punishment from USADA for the failed drug test in line with UFC 214.
