Mirko Cro Cop Faces Roy Nelson In Bellator 200 Co-Main Event

The co-main event is set for the upcoming Bellator 200 card and it is going to be a heavyweight division affair as Mirko Cro Cop makes his promotional debut against Roy Nelson.

Cro Cop (36-11-2-1NC) is making his aforementioned promotional debut in this encounter and does so on the strength of a eight fight winning streak. Cro Cop also won the 2016 Rizin Openweight Grand Prix, defeating Amir Aliakbari in the finals of the tournament. Cro Cop also had three separate stints in the UFC, earning a combined record of 5-6-1 during his time there.

Nelson (23-15-0) defeated Cro Cop in their first meeting at UFC 137 in October of 2011, with that win coming by way of third round TKO. Nelson just competed in the Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix, suffering a first round unanimous decision loss to Matt Mitrione at Bellator 194. Nelson has seen his last three fights go the distance and it has been well over a year since the fighter got a finish.

Bellator 200 takes place on Friday, May 25 from the SSE Arena in London, England with Rafael Carvalho and Gegard Mousasi headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs via tape delay on the Paramount Network.
