Kiera Hogan Talks Mr. Hughes, Booker T, Sharmell, Women’s Revolution
Impact Wrestling's Kiera Hogan spoke with Interactive Wrestling Radio for an interview recently. You can see the full interview above, and highlights below.
Training under WWE and WCW Legend Mr. Hughes:
"He is definitely a character! I'll say that. He was an amazing trainer. I still speak to him to this day. He's so proud of me, by the way. So proud of me because I am the first girl that he's trained to make it to a big platform like Impact. He's definitely a character. He's definitely old school, totally about the foundation of professional wrestling which I totally admire because I feel like a lot of people are missing that. But, he's definitely a strict, old fashioned trainer. He's amazing!"
Working Reality of Wrestling:
"I love working Reality of Wrestling. I met Booker T maybe a few months before that. Then Mr. Hughes tried to get me on the show (Reality of Wrestling) especially after Athena (Ember Moon) left. I met Booker T. He was like, "I want you on my show!" I absolutely loved it. I loved the whole production of it. For it to be just a school, the production is very, very high quality. All of his students, girls and guys, are amazing. To even be in the same room as him (Booker T) and have him agent my match. He had so much insight about different camera angles and stuff. He was amazing to work with. Him and Sharmell!"
The cause of the Women's Revolution:
"I have a different view on it. I feel like people are just now starting to see the women on the main stage but on the independents, they've been doing it forever. I feel like at this time, maybe because they're signing so many independent performers, now they're starting to get noticed. But, it has been such a topic on the independents for such a long time and now it is starting to get so much attention because it is on the main stage. The independents don't get enough credit."
