Report: Nick Hein Faces Davi Ramos At UFC 224

A lightweight division affair could be coming to UFC 224 as Nick Hein may be in action against Davi Ramos.

Both competitors announced the bout through their respective Instagram accounts, and UFC exec David Shaw

Hein (14-2-0-1NC) enters the bout on the strength of a three fight winning streak, last defeating Tae Hyun Bang at UFC Fight Night 93. Hein is also competing for the first time in well over a year, as his bout at UFC Fight Night 93 took place on September of 2016. Hein has only suffered a single defeat under the UFC banner and that came to James Vick at UFC Fight Night 57.

Ramos (7-2-0) is looking to build off the momentum of his first UFC win, which came over Chris Gruetzemacher at UFC Fight Night Fresno. Ramos also competed once in Bellator MMA, suffering a defeat to David Rickels at Bellator 130 in October of 2014. Ramos has seen three of his nine professional MMA fights go the distance, earning a 1-2-0 record in those bouts.

UFC 224 takes place on Saturday, May 12 from the Jeunesse Arena in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
