Jimi Manuwa Says He Could Defeat Daniel Cormier Within Two Rounds
Jimi Manuwa is preparing to face Jan Blachowicz once again this coming March at UFC Fight Night London.
Daniel Cormier is the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and Manuwa believes if they ever fight, it would take him no longer than two rounds to get the win.
“I truly believe that I can stop DC in two rounds; I truly believe that in myself. It’s just about getting there. I’m one, possibly two, fights away. That’s Blachowicz in March and then we’ll see what happens,” Manuwa said on The MMA Hour.
Manuwa and Cormier have never fought before, but did have a verbal back and forth after DC defeated Anthony Johnson at UFC 210.
While Manuwa would admit that he respects DC as a champion, the fighter admits is that there is no respect for DC the person.
“I don’t like the guy. Me and him have got past problems and stuff; past issues. I just don’t like the guy and he thinks he’s above himself. He thinks he better than everyone else. I just don’t like his aura. He’s a great fighter and a great champion, I can’t take that away from him, but I just don’t like his personality,” says Manuwa.
UFC Fight Night London takes place on Saturday, March 17 from the 02 Arena in London, England with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
