Abdul Razak Alhassan vs. Sabah Homasi II Added To UFC 219
After a controversial finish to their first encounter at UFC 218, a rematch has been added to UFC 219 as Abdul Razak Alhassan again faces Sabah Homasi.
AlHassan (8-1-0) won the first bout between himself and Homasi after a controversial first round stoppage by referee Herb Dean. Alhassan has now won two of three fights under the UFC banner, defeating Charlie Ward and Sabah Homasi. Al-Hassan has also competed once in Bellator MMA, defeating Bryce Shepherd-Mejia by first round knockout at Bellator 143.
Homasi (11-7-0) is currently winless thus far in UFC competition, having dropped bouts to both Tim Means and Abdul Razak Alhassan. Homasi also won just one of three fights in the Bellator MMA promotion, with that lone victory coming over Eric Moon at Bellator 124 in September of 2014. Homasi hasn’t seen one of his fights go the distance in well over five years, with his last fight to go all three rounds coming against Jose Caceres at Championship Fighting Alliance 7.
UFC 219 takes place on Saturday, December 30 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Cyborg and Holly Holm headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
