Kevin Sullivan Doesn’t Think WWE Will Bring Back Hulk Hogan
Most people are still waiting for when it'll eventually go down, but Kevin Sullivan doesn't think Hulk Hogan will be making a WWE return.
He spoke to The Hannibal TV where he said the main reason why he wouldn't be brought back is because Linda McMahon now has a position in President Trump's administration:
"I think if there's one tape out there, there may be another" Sullivan said in relation to the videos that surfaced where Hulk Hogan used racially charged words. "But the main thing is, because Linda McMahon is in the cabinet, she's the head of the Small Business Administration, I don't think they need any more heat. All you need today is for one person to say it, take something out of context. And they're very, very concerned about their public image now, and rightfully so."
Hogan's contract with WWE was terminated in July 2015 following a series of tapes that were leaked as a part of the Hulk Hogan sex tape trial against Gawker. The videos had Hulk Hogan using disparaging racial remarks. Hogan, who had been back with the WWE since 2014, was released and hasn't been associated with the company since. However, most speculation and reports as of late have indicated that both Hogan and WWE would be interested in having a relationship again, it is just the matter of making sure sponsors are into the idea and the backlash minimal.
