Eric Bischoff Brings Up Two People He’d Choose As Cornerstones To Kickstart A New Wrestling Promotion
It's probably never going to happen, but it would be fun to imagine, right?
Bischoff was on Sam Roberts' titular radio show recently talking about a number of subjects. They went into fantasy wrestling territory, with Bischoff being asked which superstar he would take from WWE and put them as the cornerstone of his own promotion. He ended up choosing two, and the people he chose were pretty interesting:
I really like Braun Strowman. I would turn the volume down on him just a little bit. I think he is a little bit overly animated, and he doesn't have to be. He is already a larger than life character when he wakes up and has a cup of coffee. To me, they have the dial turned on him just a little too much, but [it's] hard to deny that he can be the guy. People chuckle when I say this because they don't think I'm serious, but i really dig Dolph Ziggler; he is versatile, he's athletic, he has a great look, and he reminds me of Kurt Angle because, although he doesn't have that badass killer persona that Kurt had, but he is capable of it because he is an amazing amateur wrestler. He can choose to be a badass, or he can be a comedic character.
After leaving WWE in 2005, Bischoff spent several years producing television shows before joining TNA in 2010. He was there for a few years, at first an on-air character then later focused on backstage roles. He ultimately left on bad terms, and later sued TNA for unpaid money.
