Humberto Bandenay Replacing Chris Gruetzenmacher At UFC Fight Night: Mexico City
Chris Gruetzenmacher has suffered an undisclosed injury and he is off of UFC Fight Night: Mexico City, replacing him against Martin Bravo is going to be Humberto Bandenay.
Bravo (11-0-0) has already competed once under the UFC banner, having defeated Claudio Puelles at UFC Fight Night 98. The win at UFC Fight Night 98 would also make Bravo the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 3. Bravo is also undefeated thus far as a professional MMA fighter, which has lasted over five years now.
Bandenay (13-4-0-1NC) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and he does so on the strength of a five fight winning streak. Bandenay just competed less than two months ago at a King Of The Cage event, defeating Salim Mukhidinov by first round submission. Bandenay also went undefeated during his short stint as an amateur MMA fighter, defeating Renzo Mendez by unanimous decision at Inka FC 17 in 2012.
UFC Fight Night: Mexico City takes place on Saturday, August 5 from the Mexico City Arena in Mexico City, Mexico with Sergio Pettis and Brandon Moreno headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
