Francis Ngannou Glad To See Derrick Lewis Lost To Mark Hunt
Francis Ngannou certainly enjoyed Derrick Lewis' loss to Mark Hunt at UFC Fight Night 110, as evidenced by his social media account.
Ngannou took to Twitter to point fun of Lewis' loss to a 43-year-old Hunt after Lewis said Ngannou only defeated Andrei Arlovski back in January on the UFC on Fox 23 card.
Lewis had been feuding with Ngannou for quite some time, making comments on The MMA Hour a few months ago that he wanted to beat Ngannou in a "black-on-black crime." Ngannou sports a 10-1 record with a perfect 5-0 record in the UFC.
“Because this America, you know they like to see black-on-black crime,” Lewis said. “They thrive on that. They love that. Since me and him are ranked close to each other, I would like to fight someone who’s more of a challenge, and I believe Mark Hunt is more of a challenge. Me beating Francis is not going to really boost my stats or anything, get me closer to the belt, because he hasn’t really fought the top guys yet. He only fought one guy. But he is running through guys.”
Hunt stopped Lewis in the fourth round of their June 10 bout with Lewis hinting that he may be retiring in the post-fight interview.
