Fightful Select report:
New Japan Pro Wrestling is retaining a big name for their future.
Fightful Select reported back in January that Gabriel Kidd’s contract with NJPW was set to expire later that month. We can confirm that it actually expired, and Kidd had been working without a contract for a month and a half. This included the major cage match with Bullet Club War Dogs in February and New Japan Cup matches in March.
However, we’re told that as of this past weekend, Gabe Kidd has re-signed with New Japan Pro Wrestling. We have not learned the terms of the deal as of yet. Kidd has been in Japan over the last couple of weeks working matches for the New Japan Cup shows.
The 26-year old has been a major part of Bullet Club and Bullet Club War Dogs, and is seen as a person who can become a prominent name in NJPW.
Kidd now hopes to kill boring pro wrestling.
