Sting Retires Undefeated In AEW, He And Darby Allin Defeat The Young Bucks At AEW Revolution 2024

It was showtime for the last time, but the Stinger went out on top at AEW Revolution 2024.

In the main event of AEW Revolution 2024, Sting and Darby Allin successfully retained the AEW World Tag Team Titles by defeating Matthew and Nicholas Jackson in a wild Tornado Tag Team Match to retire undefeated in AEW with 29 victories and zero losses.

The match featured multiple special moments for Sting. His sons who were originally attacked by The Young Bucks on the road to this match, participated in the match dressed as Sting from the 1990 WCW Great American Bash and nWo Wolfpac Sting respectively.

This match would see Darby Allin and Sting go through panes of glass. Ric Flair would get physical and Ricky Steamboat, who was the special guest timekeeper for the match, would get physical.

In the end, Sting was not to be denied and he tapped Matthew Jackson to the Scorpion Deathlock.

After the match, Sting got the opportunity to thank the Greensboro audience. We did not hear the end of his speech because the pay-per-view ran out of time.

It is not known what will become of the World Tag Team Championship following Sting’s retirement, but Sting can always say he retired as a champion.
