John Cena and Zac Efron bond (James Bond) over Nintendo 64 video games, including GoldenEye.
John Cena and Zac Efron star in the new movie Ricky Stanicky. While doing press for the movie, they spoke with IGN.
During that interview, they were asked what they are currently playing when it comes to video games. Efron said he was playing Super Smash Bros. and, while John Cena admitted he had an affinity for 8-bit games, he also admitted that he likes playing Nintendo 64 games, specifically GoldenEye 007 and WCW vs. nWo.
While Cena did not specify which WCW game, footage was shown of WCW/nWo Revenge.
Here is the full exchange shared in the clip by IGN:
Interviewer: Are you playing anything right now?
Zac Efron: Super Smash Bros.
John Cena: My gaming expertise goes back to the days of Tecmo Super Bowl, NES Baseball Stars. I’m pretty nasty on an 8-bit system.
Zac Efron: I just found my original N64 console in a storage unit.
John Cena: Bond! 007. GoldenEye and WCW vs. nWo would be my answers.
Zac Efron: Yeah and I’ve got all the GameShark codes for it.
John Cena: Oh, nice. I’ve completely dated myself.
