On February 9, 2024, WWE hosted a new episode of Friday Night SmackDown on Fox.
The show was headlined by Triple H addressing the fallout of the WrestleMania XL Kickoff Press Conference. The full results are listed below.

- After a video recap of the WrestleMania XL Kickoff Press Conference, Corey Graves & Wade Barrett welcomed the audience to the broadcast before transitioning to the opening segment.
- WWE’s Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque and Raw & SmackDown General Managers Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce started the show to welcome the audience. Levesque said that he did not care where someone sat, the answers came from him, and him only before declaring emphatically that Roman Reigns would defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL and it did not matter if others did not like that decision.
Aldis then stepped up and revealed that the challenger for Seth Rollins’s World Heavyweight Championship would be determined in the Elimination Chamber, with Pearce qualifying matches for the chamber match, which smoothly led to the opening contest. - Drew McIntyre bragged before his match about his t-shirt burying CM Punk being a top merch seller, called himself “DM Hunk”, and bragged about being the reason Cody Rhodes would finish his story; however, he declared that he was going to save the World Title by going through everyone in the Elimination Chamber.
- WWE World Heavyweight Championship – Elimination Chamber Qualifier Match: Drew McIntyre def. AJ Styles.
- LA Knight was on commentary for the match. Knight tossed water onto Styles on ringside, but Styles responded by attacking Knight. The finish came when Knight distracted the referee, but Styles caught Knight with a strike. McIntyre regained energy and hit the Claymore for the pinfall win.
- Sami Zayn was interviewed backstage by Kayla Braxton, where he said that he did not have time to reminisce in the Main Event of WrestleMania 39 and had to go past Randy Orton. He admitted that it was not an easy path, but it was a patch he would take.
- Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) were in by a lake. Wilson was furious about Pete Dunne injuring his right hand, but Prince told him it was time to move on and show their worth to SmackDown.
- There was a video package of Bayley challenging Iyo Sky for her WWE Women’s Championship for WrestleMania XL.
- Women’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: Bianca Belair def. “Michin” Mia Yim.
- Bron Breakker met with Paul Levesque backstage. Levesque said that he was proud of Breakker and told him that he would look forward to what he does on the Main Roster. Paul Heyman interrupted and said that he would meet him next week alongside Roman Reigns & Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
- Bayley came to the ring to cut a promo. After being serenaded by the crowd with cheers, she said that she may have had her exit from Damage CTRL, but she still had the passion to make it to the spot she was at. Bayley said that she gave everything to Damage CTRL, but they took everything from her and mocked her for it
Dakota Kai interrupted and told her she had been trying to text Bayley all week, but Bayley responded by asking where was she last week. After Dakota Kai said that Bayley was always on the right, Bayley told Kai to mention what her side was.
Iyo Sky, Asuka & Kairi Sane came to the ring and surrounded Bayley in the ring, but Kai came inside with a steel chair. Sky, Asuka & Kai were bamboozled by this before Kai & Bayley hugged it out. - Randy Orton was interviewed backstage by Kayla Braxton, where he said that he learned how important it was to wait after getting injured for a year. Orton said that the only constant that was guaranteed was the three most dangerous letters in wrestling: RKO.
- Bobby Lashley, Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins welcomed B-Fab to their ranks before Lashley declared that he was coming for the World Heavyweight Title after winning the Elimination Chamber.
- Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship – #1 Contender Match: British Strong Style (Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne) def. #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa).
- Dominik Mysterio was interviewed by Byron Saxton, where he bragged about how Judgment Day would take over WWE and promised to slap the taste out of whoever faces him in the qualifiers; however, Kevin Owens revealed that he would be Dominik’s opponent in the qualifiers and told him he would dedicate his victory to Rey Mysterio. R-Truth then appeared and confused Kevin Owens with The Miz.
- United States Champion Logan Paul complained to Nick Aldis for putting him in a qualifier match for the World Heavyweight Title because all he wanted was a challenger. Paul said that he would do it and promised to win the World Title, but said that he was not happy. Aldis revealed that Paul will face The Miz next week.
- WWE World Heavyweight Championship – Elimination Chamber Qualifier Match: Randy Orton def. Sami Zayn.
