Goldberg’s First Comments Since Winning WWE Universal Championship

Goldberg wrestled his third match since his WWE return Sunday, capturing the WWE Universal Championship over Kevin Owens at WWE Fastlane. Following the event, Goldberg spoke to WWE cameras regarding his feelings after the big victory.

"Honored, privileged. To be able to get this opportunity 13 years removed from my retirement — I'm a man who is never at a loss for words, but right now it's kind of overwhelming. To have my family here, it's all I ever dreamed of, having them experience a little bit of what Goldberg used to be. I think this helps a little bit," said Goldberg

The new Universal Champion now has his sights focused on longtime rival Brock Lesnar, who he'll take on in the main event at WrestleMania 33.

"You're only as good as your next fight so yeah, I think about it. I thought about it the second I popped out of that ring because that's the only thing on my mind right now. I'm 2-0 against him and he's coming with everything he's got. If I think that he's not I'm the stupidest guy in the world. I've got three weeks to prepare for his ass. If you think I'm not going to be prepared, you're crazy," Goldberg said.
