Results for the 8/10/2023 edition of IMPACT Wrestling TV.

On August 10, 2023, IMPACT hosted a new episode of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV & via their YouTube Channel. The show was headlined by the First Round Match in the IMPACT Tag Team Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament as Sami Callihan & Rich Swann faced Ace Austin & Chris Bey, and Samuray del Sol making his IMPACT debut alongside Laredo Kid & Black Taurus against Bully Ray, Brian Myers & Moose.

Elsewhere on the card, Alisha Edwards faced Jody Threat, Mike Bailey faced off against KUSHIDA, Dirty Dango made his in-ring return against Bhupinder Gujjar & more. Full results & highlights are listed below.

IMPACT Wrestling TV (8/10/2023).

  • IMPACT Tag Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament – First Round Match: Sami Callihan & Rich Swann def. Bullet Club’s ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey).
    • The Good Hands (John Skyler & Jason Hotch) interfered in the match, costing Austin & Bey the match. 
  • Santino Marella was confronted by The Coven (Taylor Wilde & KiLynn King), The Death Dollz (Courtney Rush & Shawntorauge (Gisele Shaw & Savannah Evans) in regards to getting a title match for the IMPACT Knockout’s Tag Titles. MK Ultra (Masha Slamovich & Killer Kelly) interrupted proceedings before telling Marella that they would take them all. 
  • Dirty Dango (w/ Alpha Bravo) def. Bhupinder Gujjar.
    • After the match, Jake Something confronted Dirty Dango and told him that if he hated IMPACT so much to either “get the hell out of here” or he would make him. Dango tried to attack Something, but Something caught him with a forearm strike. 
  • The Design (Kon & Deaner) cut a promo backstage on Eric Young, with Deaner saying that he was not a failure because of Alan Angels & Sami Callihan’s betrayals. Deaner said that Kon would never betray him, and Kon followed up by saying that he was coming for Young. 
  • Johnny Swinger was interviewed backstage, where he said that he had a lot of thoughts of challenging for the World Title, but the IMPACT Digital Media Champion Kenny King interrupted by saying that he was the Internet’s Champion, which has a further reach than the world title. After King left, Swinger asked Gia Miller the following: “What’s the Internet, Daddy?”.
  • Jody Threat def. Alisha Edwards (w/ Eddie Edwards).
    • After the match, Frankie Kazarian attacked Eddie Edwards before he accidentally swung the Kendo Stick on Alisha’s head.
  • Deonna Purrazzo cut a promo backstage. Purrazzo challenged KiLynn King to a match for next week before telling IMPACT Knockout’s Champion Trinity to watch the match closely. 
  • KUSHIDA def. Mike Bailey.
  • Crazzy Steve had a sit-down interview with Tom Hannifan. Steve said that he was feeling a bit lost since the split of Decay, saying that abandonment had been a constant in his life. Steve admitted that he was legally blind, saying that it came with its own challenges despite his 21-year career, saying that he had continued to face roadblock after roadblock. The interview will continue next week. 
  • SUBCULTURE (Dani Luna & IMPACT Tag Team Champions Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews) cut a promo backstage, with them saying that they will keep an eye on whoever wins the tournament. 
  • Joe Hendry & Yuya Uemura were backstage for a Counseling session with two people, but Hendry ended proceedings to talk with Uemura. Hendry told Uemura that they wanted to go their separate ways, but Uemura responded by suggesting going for the Tag Titles. Hendry tried to talk himself out of it, but he was convinced. 
  • Bully Ray, Brian Myers & Moose def. Samuray del Sol, Black Taurus & Laredo Kid.
    • Lio Rush attacked Samuray del Sol backstage, laying him out before the match.
    • PCO made his IMPACT Return to interfere in the match, where he chased Bully Ray out of the arena. Despite the interference, Myers hit Laredo Kid with the Roster Cut for the pinfall win.
    • Bully Ray went to his car and left the arena to evade PCO as the broadcast ended.
