MJF Says The Only Way He’ll Appear At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023 Is If His Match Is On First
Maxwell Jacob Friedman has made his demands in order to go through with his commitment of defending the AEW World Title against Hiroshi Tanahashi at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023.
MJF appeared for the first time on AEW Saturday Collision, albeit via satellite, to address Hiroshi Tanahashi and get in the final words before their match at Forbidden Door 2023. Tanahashi had just finished wrestling Swerve Strickland and was celebrating his victory when Maxwell Jacob Friedman appeared on the video wall to reveal that the only way he would agree to the match, as he told Tony Khan, is if they were on first so that he did not have to stay the entire night and watch the whole show.
Assuming that this match is the opener as Max has requested, it is now clear which two matches will open and close the event, as it was announced on the June 21 episode of AEW Dynamite that the bout between Bryan Danielson and Kazuchika Okada would close the show on June 25.
