A new WWE series is coming.
The Hollywood Reporter first reported that WWE has a new docuseries entitled “WWE: Recruits.” The series, which runs for eight episodes, will premiere on The Roku Channel. John Cena serves as the producer.
WWE: Recruits will follow a group of men and women hoping to become WWE superstars. Some content was filmed during WrestleMania weekend. A. Smith & Co. Productions (Hell’s Kitchen, American Ninja Warrior) is producing the series for Roku Channel.
“Millions around the world watch and dream of it, but only a handful of extraordinary individuals can become a WWE Superstar,” Cena said in a statement. “I am so excited to bring WWE: Recuits to The Roku Channel and look forward to giving viewers an exclusive all-access perspective on how the WWE turns the dreams of talented young people into a reality.”
#WWE, much like life, is not about the heights of success, but the journey to get better each day. Excited for the opportunity to partner with @WWE and @Roku on this exciting endeavor to find the generation of Superstars! https://t.co/IIgkYbvIZw
