Live Coverage.

– Vic Joseph & Booker T welcomed the audience to the broadcast before transitioning to the opening segments. 

– The show opened by recapping the feud between Grayson Waller & Johnny Gargano ahead of their match on the 4/1/2023 edition of NXT Stand & Deliver. 

– The host of NXT Stand & Deliver Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) came to the ring to cut a promo. The two ran down on NXT Tag Team Champions Gallus (Wolfgang & Mark Coffey) before roasting the outfits of Carmelo Hayes & NXT Champion Bron Breakker from last week. Trick Williams & Carmelo Hayes interrupted them before Hayes said he was so “dripped out” he left puddles around the ring. Williams said that they did not need Pretty Deadly to bring “bad juju” to Hayes ahead of his match before Hayes & Williams challenged them to a tag match. Pretty Deadly accepted the challenge, but Williams accepted the match between Bron Breakker & Hayes against Pretty Deadly. Pretty Deadly attacked Hayes & Williams before Bron Breakker came to the ring and made the save. 

– Hayes & Williams argued backstage, with Hayes saying he was not interested in the “Can they Co-exist?” nonsense, but Williams talked him into it as Hayes studying Breakker during their tag match. 

NXT Women’s Championship Qualifying Match.

Indi Hartwell vs. Tiffany Stratton

Hartwell & Stratton locked up before Hartwell slammed Stratton into the corner with an Irish Whip, but Stratton responded with a lariat for a near fall. Hartwell hit two short-arm lariats, but Stratton responded with a snap suplex for a near fall. Stratton slammed Hartwell to the corner with an Irish Whip before slamming her again and hitting a double-backflip senton before going for a back elbow, but Hartwell reversed it with a Schoolboy for a near fall. Stratton slid to the outside as Hartwell tried to chase her down, but Stratton saw this and slammed Hartwell onto the apron before taunting the crowd ahead of the commercial break. 

Back from the break, Hartwell was in Stratton’s headlock, but Hartwell broke the hold with a chin breaker. Stratton slammed Hartwell into the middle rope and hit a Toni Storm-like Hip Attack on Hartwell for a near fall. Stratton slammed Hartwell’s head into the top turnbuckle before hitting a double stomp on Hartwell’s chest for a near fall. Stratton leaped over Hartwell and did a back flip, but Hartwell caught her and hit a back suplex on Stratton. The two exchanged strikes before Hartwell hit a jab and a running boot kick on Stratton’s head for a near fall. Hartwell went for another boot, but Stratton evaded and hit a Snap-Powerslam on Hartwell for a near fall. Stratton went for a Springboard Senton Atomico, but Hartwell evaded and hit a Spinebuster on Stratton for a near fall. Hartwell climbed to the middle rope, but Stratton slammed Hartwell onto the turnbuckle before hitting the Green Bay Plunge into the BME Press for the pinfall win. 

Winner: Tiffany Stratton.

– In “Big Daddy’s Bar” NXT Tag Champions Pretty Deadly (Wolfgang & Mark Coffey) were drinking before The Creed Brothers (Julius Creed & Brutus Creed) interrupted them in the bar. The two teams played pool, which Gallus won. The two teams then played Darts, which The Creed Brothers won in 2/3 falls. The Creed Brothers to a tie-breaker for NXT Stand & Deliver for the NXT Tag Titles. The two teams left before Tony D’Angelo & Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo confronted them to talk about “Stand & Deliver”.

– There was a video vignette of Lyra Valkyria training ahead of her match against NXT Women’s Title Qualifier Match against Ivy Nile later in the night. 

– McKenzie Mitchell interviewed Gigi Dolin backstage. Dolin said that she felt sorry for Perez’s injury, but was not sorry for Jacy Jayne’s injury. Tiffany Stratton interrupted before saying that she had an epiphany that she would win the Ladder Match by climbing to the “tippy top”. 

– NXT North American Champion Wes Lee was in the ring to cut a promo addressing his challengers for NXT Stand & Deliver. Lee admitted that he went for the Open Challenges because he did not want to be a hypocrite and prove himself while giving people the chance he had for the title. Wes Lee was immediately interrupted by former ROH TV Champion, IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion & former AAA and ROH Tag Team Champion Dragon Lee before he said that he was here to face the best. Dragon Lee said that he loves the chaos of NXT and said that he wanted to be a part of the Open Challenge, which Wes Lee granted. 

JD McDonagh immediately interrupted the Lees before saying Wes Lee was lucky because if he had the title he would not be standing at all. Ilja Dragunov interrupted and immediately set up for his match against McDonagh after the commercial break. 

– There a backstage video of Indi Hartwell throwing a rant backstage before Zoey Stark confronted her and talked trash. 

– Backstage, NXT Tag Team Champions Kiana James & Fallon Henley argued backstage before Henley asked James about “Sebastian”, which bamboozled James. Henley told James that she would tell Brooks Jensen on everything about her. 

Ilja Dragunov vs. JD McDonagh.

Dragunov & McDonagh began the match immediately exchanging forearm strikes before Dragunov hit a leaping toe-kick, and a forearm strike toth eback of McDonagh’s neck. Dragunov went for a corner knee drip on McDoangh, but McDonagh evaded and tripped Dragunov before hitting a Tornillo Senton on Dragunov. McDonagh laid his knee on Dragunov in the corner before hitting a short-hand lariat on Dragunov for a near fall. McDonagh hit a snap-suplex on Dragunov for a near fall. McDonagh got Dragunov’s arm and got a wristlock, but Dragunov reversed it and hit a spinning chop, but McDonagh responded with a headbutt on Dragunov as Dragon Lee watched on at ringside. The two Europeans exchanged vicious slaps before Dragunov hit a vicious Snap-German Suplex on McDonagh. Dragunov hit a second suplex before hitting Constantine’s Special Lariat on McDonagh for a near fall. Dragunov hit a running corner knee strike on McDonagh before hitting a Diving Knee Drop on McDonagh. Dragunov climbed to the top rope, but McDonagh caught him before going for a suplex, but Dragunov slammed McDonagh to the mat, but McDonagh slammed Dragunov onto the mat before slamming Dragunov from the hair on to the apron, landing right on his neck.

During the picture-in-picture break, McDonagh got a near fall on Dragunov before catching him with about. Dragunov hit two knife-chops on McDonagh, but McDonagh responded with a headbutt & a DDT on Dragunov for a near fall. McDonagh whipped Dragunov into the corner with an Irish Whip before locking in a Guillotine Choke on Dragunov. Dragunov tried to reverse it with a wrist lock, but McDonagh caught him with a knee lift to the abdomen before slamming him onto the mat again for a near fall.

McDonagh locked in a standing Juji-Gatame on Dragunov. McDonagh  continued to hold onto the rope, but Dragunov reversed with a leaned-back version of the Brock Lock on McDonagh before McDonagh got a rope break. McDonagh hit a vicious PK Kick on Dragunov’s back before hitting a headbutt on Dragunov. Dragunov went for a Gamonguri, but McDonagh evaded before hitting toe-kicks on Dragunov’s head. McDonagh hit three headbutts on Dragunov, but Dragunov responded with a Gamonguri before hitting the Anvil Elbow strikes into a corner chop. Dragunov hit another chop on McDonagh before going for a third, but McDonagh evaded before Dargunov hit the Machine Gun Chops on McDonagh. Dragunov got McDonagh from the waist and hit a modified Spinebuster on McDonagh for a near fall. McDonagh slammed Dragunov’s neck into the top rope before hitting a Liger Bomb for a near fall. McDonagh hit two German Suplexes on Dragunov, but Dragunov got back on his feet. McDonagh hit a Third, but Dragunov got back up and hit a wicked Roundhouse kick on McDonagh. Dragunov went for the Torpedo Moscow, but McDonagh caught him and went for the Twister, but Dragunov evaded and hit a Falling Forearm strike on McDonagh. The two brawled on the outside before McDonagh & Dragunov fell over Dragon Lee, which caused Dragon Lee to attack the two for the double disqualification. Wes Lee got involved in the brawl, ending the match in a No-Contest. 

Result: No Contest. 

– Carmelo Hayes & NXT Champion Bron Breakker talked strategy ahead of their tag match against Pretty Deadly later in the night. 

– McKenzie Mitchell interviewed NXT North American Champion Wes Lee, who announce Ilja Dragunov & JD McDonagh were the other positions. Axiom tried to get the last spot, but Lee instead revealed that the final spot for the N/A Title match will be decided on a Battle Royale next week. 

– Javier Bernal came to the ring to Johnny Gargano’s music before running down on Gargno for “taking his spot” in NXT Stand & Deliver. Bernal continued to talk trash before the actual Johnny Gargano came to he ring. Johnny Gargano became Johnny Hands as he tossed Bernal across the ring before tossing him over the barricade. Gargano then called out Grayson Waller before showing a contract for a match he was very familiar with. Gargano challenged Waller to an Unsanctioned Match. Waller appeared on the Titantron before doubting Gargano’s decision to make an Unsanctioned match before telling Gargano to give the contract to Vic Joseph so that he can sign the contract. Gargano agreed to it and gave the contract to Joseph before hitting a Thrust Kick on Bernal. 

– There was a video vignette of Eddye Thorpe (formerly known as Karl Fredericks) ahead of his NXT debut.

– Ivy Nile was interviewed backstage by McKenzie Mitchell, saying that Tatum Paxley’s betrayal last week will not stop her from being in the NXT Women’s Title Ladder Match on Stand & Deliver. 

– There was a vignette of Hank Walker detailing Walker’s run in NXT, including his training with Drew Gulak before Gulak left him for Cahrlie Dempsey. Walker said that he would continue to evolve just to prove Drew Gulak wrong. 

– Drew Gulak & Charlie Dempsey laughed at Walker’s vignette backstage, saying Walker would be nothing more than another nice guy. 

NXT Women’s Championship Qualifying Match.

Lyra Valkyria vs. Ivy Nile.

Balkyria & Niel began the match locking up before Valkyria got Nile in a Vctory Roll for a near fall. Nile caught Valkyria in a Guillotine before transitioning into a lateral press for a near fall. The two exchanged takedowns before Lyra went for a front ankle lock, but Nile reversed it with a Juji Gatame. The two exchanged vicious chest kicks before laying each other out with stereo roundhouse kicks. Nile hit a twisting Powerslam on Valkyria for a near fall before going for a lariat, but Valkyria evaded and hit a Gamonnguri. Valkyria hit a series of kicks before going for a Northern Lights suplex, but Nile blocked it and hit a Snap Suplex into a Thrust kick to the corner on Lyra. Nile got Lyra in a Dragon Sleeper, but Lyra evaded and reversed it with a German Suplex before hitting a Leg Lariat on Nile for the pinfall win. 

Winner: Lyra Valkyria.

– Tatum Paxley walked around backstage but was immediately attacked by Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre. Kiana James came to make the save for Henley before the commercial break. 

– North American Champion Wes Lee was confronted by Jinder Mahal, Dijak, Dabba-Kato backstage ahead of the Battle Royale for the last spot on the match. 

– Blake Howard hosted the great debate between The Schism & Chase University. The two argued about inclusivity, safety before Tyler Bate (of all people) joined the debate for Chase University. Bate & Chase University challenged The Schism to a mixed Eight-Man Tag, but Joe Gacy rejected the challenge before storming out, but Hudson said that the winner gets control of Chase University, which The Schism accepted. 

– Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, Tony D’Angelo, Brutus Creed, Julius Creed, Mark Coffey & Wolfgang were hungover after their interaction in the bar before announcing a Triple Threat match for the NXT Tag Titles.

NXT Champion Bron Breakker & Carmelo Hayes (w/ Trick Williams) vs. Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson).

Wilson immediately hit a lariat on Hayes to begin the match. Wilson ran the ropes, but Hayes evaded before hitting a dropkick and an arm drag on Wilson. Prince & Wilson double-teamed Hayes in the corner, with Prince hitting a diving uppercut before hitting a standing uppercut on Hayes. WIlson & Prince tried to slam Hayes onto the turnbuckle, but Breakker stopped them because he did not want for his money to be ruined. Wilson got back in the ring with Hayes, but Hayes responded with a PK Kick. Wilson hit a flapjack before He & Wilson tried o attack Breakker & Hayes, but Breakker yeeted Hayes onto Prince before Brekker hit a Frankensteiner on Wilson. 

During the picture-in-picture break, Hays & Breakker double-teamed on Prince’s left wrist. Breakker ran the ropes before hitting a pop-up spinebuster on Prince and hitting a Stalling Reverse Suplex on Prince. Prince slammed Breakker onto the middle rope before Wilson tagged in and hit a diving elbow drop for a near fall. Wilson hit a series of knee strikes on Breakker’s ribs before locking in a wrist lock on Breakker. 

After the break, Wilson went for another hold before Wilson went for a tag move on Breakker, but Hayes booted Prince off the apron before he tagged in. Hayes hit a diving cross-body on Prince & Wilson before slamming Wilson onto the mat. Hayes then hit a slingshot suplex on Prince onto Wilson for a near fall. Wilson spiked Hayes with a DDT before Elton Prince tagged in. Prince & Wilson stomped down Hayes before hitting stereo shoulder tackles and hitting a splash/ leg drop combo on Hayes for a near fall. Prince & Wilson grounded Hayes on the mat, but Hayes got back up and hit a sunset bomb on Prince, but Prince kicked out at two and hit a back elbow on Hayes for a near fall. Hayes hit an enziguri kick & an up-kick before tagging in Breakker. Breakker hit German Suplexes on Wilson & Prince before running the ropes viciously and hitting a pounce on Wilson before hitting a Toss German Suplex on Wilson. Breakker then hit a Diving Bulldog on Wilson, but Prince broke the pin. Breakker nearly speared Hayes, but Hayes pushed Breakker to hit a Code Breaker on Wilson to set up Breakker to hit the Spear on Wilson. Breakker smiled at Hayes and tagged him in to allow Hayes to hit a Diving Leg Drop on Wilson for the pinfall win. 

After the match, Hayes gave Breakker his title before the two had a stare-down in the ring to end the broadcast. 

Winners; Bron Breakker & Carmelo Hayes.
