CMLL Issue Statement Supporting Stephanie Vaquer Filing Gender Violence Complaint.
CMLL issued a statement showing support for Stephanie Vaquer.
On March 5, 2023, it was revealed by columnist “El Planchitas” via a story Mexican magazine “Pasala” that Stephanie Vaquer filed a Gender Violence complaint with Mexico City District Attorney’s Office against AAA Wrestler Cuartero, real name Carmelo Reyes González.
AAA followed up by publishing a statement saying they would cooperate in any legal procedures regarding Cuartero (full story here). CMLL has now published a statement in support of Stephanie Vaquer. They stated the following:
In CMLL, we join the solidarity, support, and respect that has been shown to Stephanie Vaquer by fans and the media.
We energetically condemn any form of violence against women and reiterate our commitment to promote a life free of violence and harassment in our staff and attendees to our arenas.
We ask the fans and the media for their support and respect for Stephanie Vaquer in these difficult moments, as well as to be prudent and respectful until she makes the appropriate public statements.
