Ian McCall Says Opponent Used Sexual Slur Against Him

Ian McCall has seen four straight fights canceled or postponed in recent years, but he finally returns to action this weekend at UFC 208, where he faces Jarred Brooks.

McCall feels that when he was a child, Brooks might not have gotten a lot of love from his parents.

“Who goes to Japan and ‘MFs’ everybody like that? Did your parents not love you enough? I don’t want to hit too weird a nerve, but there’s obviously something wrong with the kid,” McCall said to MMA Junkie. “I think it’s somewhat entertaining.”

McCall, who is a former Tachi Palace Fights Flyweight Champion, has only earned a total of two victories in his six UFC appearances. McCall had a verbal confrontation with Brooks when the two met face to face recently at a UFC Productions Office.

“(He) was the first person I saw (when I walked into the production office for UFC 208),” McCall said. “(He said), ‘What’s up f-g?’ I was like, ‘Excuse me? Watch your (expletive) mouth, dude.’ Then he got scolded by (the UFC).”

UFC 208 takes place on Saturday, February 11 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York with Holly Holm and Germaine De Randamie headlining.
