Adam Milstead Says Corner Didn’t Know About Knee Injury
Adam Milstead suffered the first UFC defeat of his career at UFC Fight Night 104, that defeat came at the hands of Curtis Blaydes. However, Milstead didn’t get knocked out, submitted or even taken the distance, he suffered a grotesque knee injury early in the second round of his fight with Blaydes.
Milstead, at the end of round one, had suffered a noticeable knee injury, with UFC color commentator Brian Stann talking about it in between rounds. Stann even criticized the corner of Milstead for sending him out to compete in the second round against Blaydes.
Milstead, after the fight, took to Twitter to clarify something about his knee injury:
To clear the air. I never told my corners my knee was jacked they would of stopped it had I done so. I will go out on my shield by my choice

Even though he went down with a brutal knee injury, Milstead still credited his opponent for a great fight, again this was done via Twitter:
Ouch. My knee hurts. Hats off to @RazorBlaydes265 for a dominate victory. Enjoy it bud.

There is no word yet on the severity of Milstead’s injury or just how long the heavyweight fighter will be out of action.
