– After a video package of Roxanne Perez defeating Mandy Rose to crown herself as NXT Women’s Champion, Vic Joseph and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T welcomed the audience to the broadcast before quickly transitioning to the opening match.
Carmelo Hayes (w/ Trick Williams) vs. Axiom.
The two locked up before Hayes dropped Axiom to the mat. Axiom locked in a front-ankle lock before Hayes hit an up kick on Axiom to break the hold. Axiom hit a springboard arm drag on Hayes and went for a leaping kick, but Hayes sat down to evade. Axiom got a headlock on Hayes, but Hayes reverse it with leg scissors, but Axiom reversed the hold with a bow & arrow. The two evaded each other’s offense & exchanged pins before Axiom hit a snap mare into a hammerlock on Hayes. Hayes got up and slammed Axiom to the corner to break the hold before hitting a back elbow strike. Axiom hit an arm drag into a dropkick on Hayes for a near fall before locking in a waist lock on Hayes. Hayes went for a back elbow, but Axiom transitioned the hold by pushing Hayes into the ropes into a Northern Lights Suplex for a near fall. Hayes hit a back elbow on Axiom before going for the springboard lariat, but Axiom caught him mid-air with a dropkick. The two got back up, with Axiom hitting a kick on Hayes’s chest. Axiom hit three more chest kicks on Hayes before going buzzsaw Kick, but Hayes blocked it and finally hit the Springboard Lariat on Axiom for a near fall. Hayes hit a body slam on Axiom before taunting the crowd and stomping away at Axiom before getting Axiom in a lateral press for a near fall. Hayes tried to tear Axiom’s mask before locking in a reverse arm bar on Axiom, but Axiom got back up before Hayes slammed him back down and kept the hold. Axiom broke the hold and got a Crucifix on Hayes for a near fall, but Hayes popped back up and hit a lariat on Axiom for a near fall before locking in a reverse arm bar yet again. The two got back up and exchanged strikes before Axiom hit a running dropkick on, a running corner enziguri kick, and a Fisherman’s Suplex on Hayes for a near fall. Axiom went for a O’Connor Roll, but Hayes reversed it with a Pump kick into La Mistica on Axiom for a near fall, but Hayes immediately transitioned into a Crossface before Axiom reversed it with a pin. Hayes went for a Springboard lariat, but Axiom caught him with a sliding German Suplex before hitting a Diving Crossbody on Aim for a near fall, but Axiom responded by locking in a Triangle Choke. Hayes hit a Powerbomb on Axiom to break the hold, but Axiom locked in the hold again before Hayes slammed Axiom’s head to the mat to finally break the hold. Hayes stomped at Axiom’s head, but Axiom responded with a bitch slap, and a chop, and went for a Walk rope move before Hayes dropped him into the top rope. Hayes leaped to the top rope, but Axiom caught him and hit a Frankensteiner on Hayes. Axiom prepared to hit the leaping Thrust kick, but Williams slammed Axiom into the mat as the referee was checking in on Hayes. Hayes hit a Code Breaker into a Top-Rope leg Drop on Axiom for the pinfall win.
Winner: Carmelo Hayes (w/ Trick Williams).
– Axiom hit an Asai Moonsault on Williams to the outside, demanding Hayes to have a rematch with him.
– Grayson Waller was interviewed backstage by McKenzie Mitchell, demanding a match for the NXT Championship immediately tonight against Bron Breakker. Mitchell said Breakker was doing media for NXT Vengeance Day, to which Waller responded by doubling down and calling him out for a match.
– Tony D’Angelo & Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo were backstage, with D’Angelo that he will face Wes Lee for the North American Championship. D’Angelo instructed Stacks to tell Dijak to not get involved. Waller appeared and
Nikkita Lyons vs. Zoey Stark.
Stark tried to attack Lyons from behind, but Lyons caught her with a Buzzsaw Kick. The match began with Lyons hitting a thrust kick on Stark before hitting corner spears on Stark, followed by a corner splash. Stark laid in the body shots on Stark before Stark rolled out of the ring. Stark then slammed Lyons into the ring post before slamming Lyons’s head into the mat. Back in the ring, Stark got Lyons in a choke on the ropes before hitting a vicious overhead chop on Lyons. The two exchanged chops before Stark hit a snap-mare chin lock on Lyons. Stark held on to the chin lock before slamming Lyons’s head into the mat. Stark went for a spinning roundhouse kick, but Lyons evaded and hit a leg trip, two lariats, a German Suplex, a chest kick & a hip attack on Stark for a near fall. Stark hit a vicious thrust kick on Lyons before hitting a dropkick & a spinning buzzsaw kick on Lyons for a near fall. Stark went for a springboard move, but Lyons evaded and hit a forearm strike & a Samoan Drop on Stark for a near fall. Lyons hit a thrust Kick on Stark and hit a corner forearm strike, but Stark leaped over Lyons. Lyons went for an O’Connor Roll, but Stark reversed it with an O’Connor Roll of her own before holding the ropes to get the pinfall win.
Winner: Zoey Stark.
– McKenzie Mitchell interviewed Cora Jade backstage, but she was immediately attacked by Wendy Choo before two producers stopped the brawl.
– There was a backstage vignette of Josh Briggs, Fallon Henley & Brooks Jensen before Kiana James & Giovanna Eburneo came to Henley’s bar. James revealed to Henley that she would be on the way to buying the bar, to which Henley responded by challenging James for the stakes of the bar. Jensen, who told James about the bar, was bamboozled by James’s antics.
NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship Match.
Diamond Mine (Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley) vs. Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne) vs. Katana Chance & Kayden Carter (c).
Dolin & Carter began the match locking up before Jayne tagged in and hit a hip attack on Carter, to which Dolin responded by hitting a Bronco Buster before Jayne hit a cannonball on Carter in the corner for a near fall. Nile tagged in and got Jayne in a pin for a near fall before rolling over and slamming Jayne to the corner before hitting a vicious thrust kick on Jayne. Nile & Paxley hit a double-suplex on Jayne before Paxley hit a standing Tornillo Splash on Jayne for a near fall. Carter & Chance attacked Jayne, Nile, Paxley & Dolin before hitting a double-diving cross body on The two opposing teams to the outside before the commercial break. Back from the break, Dolin had Nile in the Bow & Arrow before hitting an STO on Nile. Nile tagged in Carter, who hit a lariat, a corner splasy, and a kick on Dolin before hitting a thrust kick on Dolin while landing a splash on Paxley for a near fall. Paxey leaped over Carter and hit a forearm strike on Carter before going for a top rope move, but Chance tagged in and hit a Frankensteiner on Paxley for a near fall, thanks to Nile breaking the pin. Dolin attacked Nile, while Chance hit a dropkick on Jayne. Nile & Dolin tagged in, with Dolin & Jayne hitting a thrust kick, a roundhouse kick, a diving headbutt, and a senton on Nile for a near fall. Nile evaded Jayne’s hip attack before Paxley tagged in and hit a top rope Tornillo for a near fall. Nile tagged back in, but Jayne hit a neck breaker on Nile. Jayne went for a move, but Chance tagged in from behind and hit a codebreaker on Nile. Paxley pushed Chance off the top rope, allowing Nile to locked in the Dragon Sleeper on Carter, but Carter pushed off the ropes and reversed it with a pin for the win & title retention.
Winners & Still NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions: Katana Chance & Kayden Carter (c).
– Booker T interviewed NXT Women’s Champion & his former student Roxanne Perez recapping her win against Mandy Rose. Perez said she did not expect all of this to happen, and explained that she challenged Rose that night because Booker taught her to bet on herself. When Perez asked Booker T for advice, Booker told Perez to keep the hunger and told her that it was time to make history.
– Apollo Crews came to the ring to cut a promo and emphasize that he still has his eyes on Bron Breakker’s NXT Championship as that is the reason he came back to NXT, but Carmelo Hayes interrupted him and told him to see that title match from the back of the line. said that he was next in line for an NXT Championship shot. Hayes then said that if need be, he would not mind putting Crews down to get a shot at the title. Crews put over Hayes’s look, but told him that no matter how good he thought he is there was always someone better than him.
– Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) gave NXT Champions New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods0 a series of Christmas gifts in order to get a tag title rematch. Kingston told Pretty Deadly that today’s prize is not todays’ prize as Woods told them to get Tyler Breeze’s selfie stick.
– Isla Dawn spit a red dust on Alba Fyre backstage from out of nowhere, with a producer demanding a medic to check on her.
– Odyssey Jones, Edris Enofe & Malik Blade invited Ava Raine to go out with them, but Raine told them to stop trying to fill their void. The Schism (Rip Fowler, Joe Gacy & Jagger Reid) confronted them before Raine told them to try to have fun.
– Alba Fyre was checked upon by a Medical Professional before Grayson Waller interrupted proceedings.
Indi Hartwell vs. Elektra Lopez.
Hartwell hit a series of corner spears and a big boot on Lopez to begin the match. Hartwell leaped over Lopez on the corner before hitting a hip toss for a near fall. Lopez hit a kick to the head, a forearm strike, and tossed Hartwell to the outside. Lopez slammed Hartwell into the ring post before the two got back in the ring and laid in the knee strikes to the back for a near fall. Lopez locked in a chin lock on Hartwell before slamming Lopez to the mat for a near fall. Lopez locked in another headlock on Hartwell, but Hartwell reversed it with a roll-up for a near fall. Hartwell hit a series of punches, two lariats, a running boot, and a single-leg hook on Lopez for a near fall. The two ran the ropes and collided with stereo cross-body splashes on one another. Lopez took off a turnbuckle pad but she put a pair of brass knuckles on and punches Hartwell in the head for the pinfall win.
Winner: Elektra Lopez.
– AFter about 30 minutes, Fyre was cleared by a medic to have her match against Sol Ruca for after the commercial break.
– NXT North American Champion Wes Lee talked about accepting D’Angelo’s challenge, to which Lee responded by saying that he does not intend in dropping the title any time soon.
– Prior to Alba Fyre’s match agaisnt Sol Ruca, Isla Dawn attacked Fyre from behind. Dawn placed Fyre’s arm in the stairs and slammed the bat on her arm, canceling the match effective immediately.
– There was a Chase University Christmas Party. A student gifted Andre Chase, but Chase responded that he was allergic to a fruit cake and went on a rant on said student. Duke Hudson stole a gift from a student and gifted him a plaque that read “#1 Professor”. Chase appreciated.
– McKenzie Mitchell interviewed Fallon Henley, Brooks Jensen & Josh Briggs backstage, with Briggs saying they would go balls to the wall to win the titles against New Day. Kiana James interrupted and wished Jensen good luck.
– Hank Walker confronted Drew Gulak backstage and asked him for advice as he wanted to bust his ass for this spot. Gulak appreciated Walker’s intrigue and informed him that he wanted him on his seminar next week.
NXT Tag Team Championship Match.
New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) (c) vs. Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen.
Kingston & Jensen began the match locking up before Jensen pushed Kingston to the mat. The two locked up again before Kingston hit a wicked chop on Jensen to the chest & back. Jensen leaped over Jensen and started hoping to his theme. Jensen hit a shoulder tackle & a chop on Kingston before hitting a Powerslam on Kingston for a near fall. Woods tagged in and locked up with Jensen before going for a diving crossbody, but Jensen caught him. Woods evaded and hit a thrust kick to the abdomen before hitting a rolling elbow on Jensen, followed by a corner forearm strike. Kingston hit a shotgun dropkick on Jensen into the turnbuckle before Woods tagged in and hit a Missile Dropkick into the bottom turnbuckle on Jensen. Jensen hit a face slam on Woods before Briggs hit a shoulder tackle on Kingston. Briggs & Jensen hit stereo Atomic drops on Kingston & Woods before sliding to the outside and hitting slaps on the, Back in the ring, Jensen & Briggs took turns on getting Woods in a Bear Hug, but Woods evaded and tagged in Kingston, who hit a double axe handle on Briggs. Briggs hit an axe-handle on Briggs, but Briggs responded by hitting a back suplex on Woods for a near fall. Jensen tagged in and got a headlock on Woods, but Woods tossed Jensen before hitting an enziguri kick on Jensen. Kingston tagged in and hit a double-chop, a dropkick, and a double-springboard crossbody on Jensen for a near fall. Kingston hit the Boom Drop on Jensen and aimed to hit the Trouble In Paradise, but Jensen caught him mid-air, but Kingston responded by hitting the SOS on Jensen for a near fall. Kingston went for another SOS, but Jensen evaded & tagged in Briggs. Briggs attacked Woods on the outside and hit both Woods & Kingston with the JD Drake Special on the outside. Back in the ring, Jensen & Briggs hit an atomic drop into a big boot on Kingston for a near fall. Briggs got Kingston up, but Kingston slid under Briggs and attacked. Briggs responded by hitting a Gorgeous Moonsault Press on Kingston for a near fall. Briggs & Jensen went for a Doomsday Device, but Kingston reversed it by hitting a Poison Rana & Trouble In Paradise on Briggs. Kingston tagged in Woods and hit a Tope Con Giro on Jensen to the outside, allowing Woods to hit a walk-rope elbow drop on Briggs for the pinfall win & title retention. The two teams embraced after the solid match, with Kiana James & Giovanna Eburneo watched the match from ringside.
Winners & Still NXT Tag Team Champions: New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods).
– Tatum Paxley, Ivy Nile, Brutus Creed & Julius Creed were interviewed backstage, but they were confronted by Indus Sher (Veer Mahan & Sanga) to challenge them, but Mahan told them that they wanted proof that they were ready. The Creeds revealed that Julius would face JD McDonagh next week.
– In the Main Event segment, Grayson Waller called out NXT Champion Bron Breakker for the title. After a lack of response, Waller called Breakker a coward before stating that he had carried the brand & calling himself the biggest star on NXT. Breakker came to the parking lot and stormed to the ring. Breakker hit a spear on Waller, but Breakker was left unconscious. Waller revealed that he put a Bullet Proof Best with a steel plaque, paying homage to Bret Hart covering the spear from Goldberg in WCW. Waller told Breakker that he would outsmart him and crown himself NXT Champion. Waller stood tall to end the broadcast.
